My favorite description of blogs comes from the people at commoncraft.

It gives you a good definition of blogs; however, it does not address the value of blogs in education. 

Why Teachers and Students Should Blog

The value of blogs in education is immense.  Listen to this teacher's reasons for blogging.



My favorite quote about why teachers should blog comes from the TeachPaperless Blog.  A great post contains, "...to blog is to teach yourself what you think." How true.

Why Might You Blog

Please take a few minutes and leave a comment on this blog as to why you might blog.  When you are done with your entry be sure to check to see what other people have written. 

Blogging Doesn't Need to Be Hard

If you want students to contribute to a blog post, it doesn't need to be difficult.  Believe it or not, you can simply have students send an email to a certain email address and these emails will appear as posts on a blog.  We will demonstrate this during the workshop.
