Ordinarily, when I have the interest in posting a blog, the basic aim is to share information from which others may benefit. It's amazing how many people become interested in your minutia.
Blogging would give me an opportunity to pose a question and have students respond. It would be a way for students to connect with each other outside of the classroom and consider their presence online. I would use a blog to further the class' thinking and discussions outside of class.
I'm thinking about using blogging with my students. I'm trying to come up with a different way to teach the DNA scientists in Genetics. Maybe blogging will help.
I was thinking it would be helpful if ASH created a PD blog for people to share what they are reading and finding helpful as an educator.
